About CouldBeDown

CouldBeDown is a free group availability scheduler. It gets a group from “we should hang out” to a confirmed time on everyone's calendar.

Why it exists

Plans in group chats kept dying the same way. Someone suggests getting together, a few people reply with the days they can't do, the thread moves on, and nobody pins down a time. The plan quietly never happens.

CouldBeDown was built to finish that job. Collecting everyone's free time is only the first half. The other half is proposing an actual time, hearing back from people and locking it in.

What it does

  • Shared availability grid. The organizer picks dates and a time window and shares a link. Everyone drags across the grid to mark when they're free, and the overlap lights up.
  • Propose, RSVP, lock it in. The organizer proposes one or more times, people answer going or not going, and the organizer confirms the plan.
  • No account needed. Guests open the link and type their name. They can add an email address for updates, with one-click RSVP buttons in each email.
  • Calendar support. Signing in with Google lets you see your busy times on the grid and adds confirmed plans to Google Calendar. Anyone can download a confirmed plan for Apple Calendar or Outlook.
  • Friends and groups. Signed-in users can save the people they plan with into groups and start the next plan from there.

Who runs it

CouldBeDown is built and run by an independent developer. It's free to use right now. See the Privacy Policy for what data is stored and why.
